What we do

We CUSTOMISE Educational Tours in a variety of UK locations

We work with a variety of local host organisers to provide short stay homestays in many locations around England, Scotland and Wales.  Our locations range from the bustling cities of the UK such as London and Liverpool, to the suburbs of the midlands such as Stratford upon Avon and Cambridge or the many seaside coastal regions around the UK.

We COORDINATE Lessons and Language Immersion Programs

Our centres can provide awesome TEFL and CELTA qualified teachers are ready to dive into everything culturally English with you!

They'll sprinkle in tons of listening and conversation activities, helping students build confidence with vocabulary and pronunciation. Most lessons will be classroom based, divided into small groups of approximately 15 students with the same standard of English. Most school groups prefer to have lessons in the mornings so there is plenty of time to explore your local area and practise your English conversations with the locals in the afternoons.

We ORGANISE homestay accommodation with experienced families

Our welcoming host families, each with a rich, well-educated background, are ready to host students from around the globe. Ranging from families with young children to those with grandchildren, they offer a supportive environment and experience with diverse cultures, accommodating dietary, educational, and medical needs. Each evening, host families collect their students (up to four per family) and drop them off at a designated morning meeting point, where our friendly Local Organiser is always present to ensure everything runs smoothly. Hosts also engage students in English practice over meals, encouraging immersion into family life.

Laura

UK Educational Holidays Ltd, formerly known as Educational Holidays, was expertly managed by Philip and Rosalyn Philips for over 25 wonderful years. During COVID, Laura Bettinson-Eatch and Dawn de Wit had the opportunity to take over as Philip and Rosalyn decided to enjoy a well-deserved retirement.

Both Laura and Dawn have been part of the industry since 1997, beginning as host families and later becoming local organizers (Laura with Anglophile and Dawn with Nottingham Student Hosting).

In 2017, Dawn and Laura met and started collaborating to support host families. Naturally, this led to Laura becoming a 50/50 partner with Dawn in Nottingham Student Hosting, and the rest is history!

We’re excited for many more years of running UK Educational Holidays, now with the invaluable help of Rachael, who joined us almost a year ago. She’s a crucial part of our team, and we couldn’t run the business as smoothly without her!
